One of the keys to success is going to the corporate sector at the right time. Timing really IS everything! We go into this in more detail in the program, but the key thing to know is that there are two optimum times to pitch to corporates. The first and most fruitful is Feb-March, and the second is August-September, depending on the financial year of your corporate prospect.
It has everything to do with when corporates are setting budgets and nothing to do with your organisation or us. Most non-profit organisations that fail to secure business & corporate partners go when they need cash, or when they have the time, or when the Board gives the green light. This is invariable not the right time for the corporate prospect, and there is often no budget left. If you want a big piece of the cake, you must be in front of the baker when selecting ingredients not when the cake’s gone into the oven! Otherwise you’ll be begging for crumbs.
Therefore, the program runs from May-February, so that you are ready at the right time – when corporates have an appetite – and budget – to invest.
