Yes. BePartnerReady.com® enrolment is for one student, however if you have colleagues within your organisation that would like to join you on the ride, you can sign them up for an additional $590 + GST per person.  They’ll receive a unique login and password. It’s preferable to sign up your colleague when you register, but we can allow a colleague to join later, at our discretion (cut-off date is 1 August).

It depends on the program you sign up for! If you are joining our all-inclusive program, ideally, no. The program has been designed to support you as you work through each of the Modules in chronological order, and you also have a community of changemakers on the same journey as you. Each Module is released at the start of each month, so you cannot fast track forward. There are also group calls with students, Hailey & Georgia each month too, discussing the Module of the Month. You can, however, go back at any time. It’s advisable to work through the program as designed – a Module a month commencing May.

You have one year. The BePartnerReady.com® contains 7 Modules over 7 months, but we support you for 11 months (May to March). Once you register, you’ll be able to use your login and password to access the materials until June the following year (30 June). At this point your login will be deactivated unless you choose to renew access for another year, which you can do, for $590 + GST per organisation.

You and any of your colleagues that wish to enrol will be required to agree, and sign, your commitment to adhere to our Terms and Conditions (Ts & Cs) which include, but not limited to, not sharing your login & password and to not use any of the BePartnerReady.com® materials or templates for training, consultancy or commercial use. Read the terms & conditions 

Your organisation is obligated to ensure that the Intellectual Property (IP) contained within the program is protected and to inform us immediately if you, the student, leaves.

Yes. We recommend that you DO create a team to support you. Any colleagues that join your team can work with you on your Module outputs, the work that you produce. They are NOT able to access the BePartnerReady.com® online program or materials unless they are a paid-up student.

If you’re unclear about this, check in with us about what is appropriate. We want to protect our intellectual property from reaching people that do not understand the legal obligations that you and your organisation have entered into, as this could inadvertently lead to breach of contract.  What we don’t want to do is restrict your colleagues from contributing to the production of each output.

Yes. The ideal scenario is that the paid-up student does most of the work and then leads the pitching to corporate prospects at the conclusion. We do not recommend one person does the work and then another – ie the CEO – takes on the pitching. Whoever does the work ideally does the pitch, because they have all the knowledge to make the correct approach. We recommend that you create an internal Team so that you can delegate tasks & share knowledge. If you already have a team of people that are all tasked with securing corporate partnerships, it would be worth considering registering them all. See below for investment.

The investment required for the full BePartnerReady.com® program is $4,300 + GST for the first student, and just $590 + GST for any secondary or third student. The best value investment is the ‘swoop in’ early bird (15% saving) that is available December-January, for those that are super keen and have the budget. There is also an ‘early bird’ option (10% saving) that’s available from 1 February – 31 March each year.

Alternatively, we also offer a payment plan of $675 + GST per month for the duration of the program (7 monthly repayments, 10% loading on monthly instalments).

For each additional student within the same organisation, it’s an additional $590 + GST. 

Anyone from around the world is welcome to participate in the program, as the process is fairly universal. However there are some vital elements of the program that are tailored for, and specific to, both Australia and New Zealand. We are currently tailoring the program for other markets and we’re looking to expand to the UK.  Either way, at our checkout, your credit/debit card will convert the payment to your currency.

Two of the critical tools offered within the program that relate to market values  – the Brand Valuation tool (BaFF) and Assets Inventory Valuation tool (the Ph Formula) - have both been revised to reflect the New Zealand market.

Everyone works at a different pace however we estimate it’s a total of around 140-200 hours including the pitching process. The actual outputs and strategy you create as part of the program equates to about 20 hours a month over 7 months, or one day per week.

This program is designed for someone that intends to implement - as well as secure – corporate partners, so someone that intends to stay within the organisation for at least a year.  We also highly recommend a colleague join you along the journey, you can register them for just $590+ GST per person.  We know that life can be unpredictable so if you do register, and then for some reason you intend to leave, contact us immediately.  We’ll discuss transferring your participation to a colleague. For students that do not communicate and simply leave, your participation will be cancelled, your login & password de-activated without a refund.

Yes, you can go back as often as you like. However, each Module is released at the start of each month, so you cannot move ahead of the program and other students. 

One of the keys to success is going to the corporate sector at the right time.  Timing really IS everything!  We go into this in more detail in the program, but the key thing to know is that there are two optimum times to pitch to corporates.  The first and most fruitful is Feb-March, and the second is August-September, depending on the financial year of your corporate prospect.

It has everything to do with when corporates are setting budgets and nothing to do with your organisation or us. Most non-profit organisations that fail to secure business & corporate partners go when they need cash, or when they have the time, or when the Board gives the green light.  This is invariable not the right time for the corporate prospect, and there is often no budget left.  If you want a big piece of the cake, you must be in front of the baker when selecting ingredients not when the cake’s gone into the oven! Otherwise you’ll be begging for crumbs.

Therefore, the program runs from May-February, so that you are ready at the right time – when corporates have an appetite – and budget – to invest.

We’ve seen students secure a partner at the first meeting and at other times it can take anywhere from 3-12 months! It depends on the kind of company. We explore this in the program and look at the different kinds of companies and which ones are slow-moving.  We provide numerous templates & techniques to help you get a partner across the line quickly – as well as move away from the time-wasting tyre-kickers.

Yes and No. First, this is not a fundraising program so there is no ‘ask’.  This program will help you shift your language to be more in line with corporate speak. Instead our approach is based on an invitation to partner, where there is an exchange of value.  In terms of your tangible assets and your intangible brand, we provide tools and formulas to enable you to place a dollar figure on these to help you prepare a compelling package and investment figure based on tangibles not guess work.

We don’t recommend it. If your organisation is unwilling to invest in your training or in the implementation of a corporate partnerships’ strategy, that indicates a lack of commitment, and it's unlikely they’ll support you in the ways you’ll need.  In certain situations (such as a Founder wanting to pay for themselves), that is fine. 

Yes. On the surface sponsorship and partnership may appear to be similar – they both involve a corporate providing money & other benefits to a charity. The model of how they engage is quite different though. Sponsorship involves a company or brand investing directly into a program, event or campaign.  So, in effect the funding is TIED to that. A partnership is more complex, multi-layered and therefore takes longer to secure. The great thing about the BePartnerReady.com® program is that it will help you identify things that are 'sponsorable’ and support you to package up a sponsorship proposal as well as pitch to potential partners with a compelling offer. It’s different so requires different Templates, but both are provided as part of the program.

Yes. Previous students have found that once they have completed Step 5: Partnership Model, they are able to quickly discern between genuine enquiries and tyre-kickers.  You really don’t want to be organising a meeting with any corporate without having distinguished 3 key things, and we help you to prepare for that.

BePartnerReady.com® is an online learning course, but it’s so much more than that; it’s an implementation program. Rather than skim through as ‘professional development’ and then forget; it’s a deeply practical process that is designed for a non-profit organisation or social enterprise – led by an individual, possibly you – and for organisational implementation. You cannot do this program alone in your office, or at home – you must bring relevant stakeholders in the organisation along for the ride; it involves and benefits you all. The materials that you’ll develop along the way will be for all of you, and it’ll be your team and organisation you’ll be pitching at the end.

All students receive an attractive Certificate of Participation at the conclusion of the program.  Students that provide all Module outputs for assessment (for an additional fee) may qualify for the Certificate of Graduation.

No. The BePartnerReady.com® program is now in its 5^th year, and we are now in discussions with groups like FIA and CFRE to see if we can have them assess it with a view to gaining accreditation.  The previous incarnation of the BePartnerReady.com® process– the HeartSmart® Toolkit – has been recognised by CFRE and contributed towards prior students’ gaining successful accreditation. Perhaps. We do offer a FLEXI option for those that are keen to access the program outside of the registration period. However, we prefer that all students start at the same time, to build that all-important rapport and work through the program as designed. Alas, we know that life can sometimes be messy so reach out after doing the Readiness Q&A here to discuss the FLEXI option.

Perhaps. Occasionally a student wishes to join later in the year but still be ready for the February pitch period - we call this the FLEXI option. In this instance we can enrol you into the fast-track program. Reach out after doing the Readiness Q&A here 

Occasionally a red score is incorrect (ie a question is misunderstood) so it’s best to jump on a call with us to discuss. Mostly however, a red score means your organisation is not ready which will thwart your success. Still, register for a confidential 1:1 call with us, so we can guide you further. Sometimes becoming organisationally ready is fairly easy, with time, and for some, it’s going to require some big cultural shifts. Know that we’ll be honest with you and we’ll discourage you from doing the program if you’re not ready. 

Register for a 1:1 Readiness Call so we can discuss the areas of weakness and recommend further work in the areas that are needed. This is generally internal or brand-related, so not something we can assist you with. If after the discussion you feel able to address those weaknesses at the same time as doing the program, you’re welcome to register into the program. The BeHappy Money Back Guarantee is not offered to Amber students.

It depends on the time of year but you can register in November/December with the Swoop in Early Bird saving or Jan-March for the early bird saving.  Registration in April and May is full price. If you are a national organisation that shares the same brand/logo, it would make sense for you to pitch to national corporates on behalf of the national organisation (there are bigger pots of money there).  If the national organisation is happy for you to lead the implementation and approach on behalf of the national organisation, that is fine. You can do it for just one State, but it all depends on your Readiness Q&A score.

Yes possibly, please complete the Readiness Q&A and then we can assess. If you’re a purpose driven business or a social enterprise, partnership & sponsorship are, actually, the only way to secure funding from corporates (you are not able to accept donations). The BePartnerReady.com® process secured a significant sponsor for School Fun Run at the end of 2019, this is an event that is run by a commercial business for profit. School Fun Run enables schools to fundraise for their school through running rather than selling chocolate bars so it’s helping to solve 3 societal problems: obesity, lack of facilities for schools and disconnection due to technology.

If you have colleagues in fundraising, marketing, social media, communications, business development, event management and income generation, they will make great Team members. Board members are not advisable, because they may not have the time to devote to it. Enrol them to the process however! It is advisable to have a colleague go through the program with you (as a paid-up additional student) so that you can share the tasks and share the knowledge.

Each month we have a 60-90 minute Live Group Chat with students participating in the program, with Hailey, Georgia & BePartnerReady.com® specialist team members. These chats are confidential and are not recorded. Also, students can post a question at any time in the program and we respond quickly – usually within 24 hours. If students have specific or confidential queries that are quick to answer, they can email us. If the query is complex and requires a detailed and considered response, students can schedule a call with us via the shop. Consulting fees with Hailey are $250 + GST an hour or $1,000 + GST a day. Georgia is $125 + GST an hour or $500 + GST a day. 

No.  It’s best for you to manage them or hire someone. We will provide a detailed Bonus Booklet & Templates on Managing Partners, however.

The only costs you will need to allow for are related to pitch work: design (of a professional PowerPoint pitch deck if required), video production/editing of existing footage (ideal but not a deal-breaker) and travel (flights/accom) when you start pitching. You will also need to find about $300 for a compelling mailing item, although most charities have something that can be used already.

In order to keep the investment for this program as low as possible, we have not included any consulting time in the investment.  For any organisation that requires 1:1 assistance you’ll be asked to purchase time via the shop, as consulting time is not included in the program.  We recommend that you take time to read the materials and FAQs to ensure all your questions are answered before sending requests & questions.  Persistent requests from an organisation that are outside of the monthly Live Group Chats, will be directed to the shop to purchase time.
